I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services, and 2) Compliance with the Ecwid Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Ecwid Policy and Terms of Use.

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
Ecwid. I share information with Ecwid (my hosting platform) as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Ecwid Terms of Use.
Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
Compliance with laws. Data Retention
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 6 years.
Your Rights
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:
Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.

At Wild Atlantic Wood my aim is to make quality handmade and unique products using wood from sustainable and well managed sources.
My main supplier of timber has both FSC and PEFC certifications and is also EUTR compliant.
I also make use of locally sourced wood from West Cork and along the Wild Atlantic coast of Ireland such as fallen branches and using wood from trees which have died due to natural causes like old age, storm damage, and insect attack and on occasion finding driftwood washed up on local beaches.
When packing orders for delivery my aim is to reduce unnecessary packaging by using padded envelopes for small items and use recyclable packaging materials such as clean used cardboard from local shops to make boxes and old newspaper for packing larger items. Over time I am reducing my use of plastic and keeping plastic and paper packing separate so they can be more easily recycled.
FSC® sets specific standards that have to be met by suppliers in the timber trade. PEFC is an umbrella brand incorporating different national certification schemes. The end goals of both bodies are the same. Both provide schemes to protect forests and ensure end users get the responsibly sourced timber they requested
The PEFC is an international, non-profit, non-governmental organization which promotes sustainable forest management through independent third party certification. It is considered the certification system of choice for small forest owners
The European Union Timber Regulation (EUTR) is one part ofthe EU’s FLEGT (Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade) Action Plan which is aimed at helping to stamp out illegal logging worldwide. The Regulationentered into force on 3rd March 2013 and it is directly applicable in all EU Member States.
